  • You run several faceless TikTok accounts and want unlimited account connections.
  • You want scheduling and TikTok analytics in the same tool.

  • You want to use your own product photos at no extra credit cost.
  • You want to review and edit each slide before you post it yourself.

ReelFarm and TokCloner both make TikTok photo slideshows, but they start in different places. ReelFarm runs automations: it generates list-style slideshows from your hooks and formats and posts them to TikTok on a schedule. TokCloner starts from one specific post that already worked, rebuilds it for your business, and leaves the posting to you.

Everything about ReelFarm below comes from its own site, checked October 13, 2026.

What is ReelFarm?

ReelFarm is a tool for automating faceless TikTok slideshows. Its pitch has three steps: create an automation, connect your TikTok account, and let it generate and publish content daily to drive traffic to your website.

Around that core it has a slideshow editor, automatic image sourcing from Pinterest, scheduling, TikTok analytics, AI UGC selfie images and videos, and a library of real slideshow examples for inspiration. Every plan allows unlimited TikTok accounts and unlimited team members.

What is TokCloner?

TokCloner takes a link to a TikTok photo slideshow or an Instagram carousel and rebuilds it for your business. It keeps the structure and hook pattern, then writes new text and makes new images. You get 1080×1920 PNG slides to download and post.

It does not post, schedule or track analytics. That is the biggest practical difference from ReelFarm.

How ReelFarm works

  1. Create an automation. Pick slideshow formats, add hooks (the API calls them rotating topics), a style prompt and a language.
  2. Choose images. ReelFarm pulls images from Pinterest automatically, or uses your collections or image URLs.
  3. Connect TikTok. Link one or more accounts. To add another, the FAQ says to sign out of TikTok, then click Connect TikTok again.
  4. Set a schedule. Automations run on schedules you set; the API uses Pacific time.
  5. Publish. Posts go out directly or land in TikTok as drafts.

Two practical notes from ReelFarm’s own docs. Its API docs say TikTok rejects a seventh direct publish from one account within 24 hours, while drafts avoid that cap. Its FAQ also tells you to warm up new accounts: scroll and engage 20–30 minutes a day for 3–5 days before posting, then post once or twice a day.

If you rely on the Pinterest image pull for a business account, check usage rights before you post commercially.

How TokCloner works

  1. Paste a link to a public TikTok photo slideshow or Instagram carousel. You can save the original first with the TikTok slideshow downloader to study it.
  2. TokCloner reads every slide: the text, the styling and the role each slide plays, such as hook, payoff or CTA.
  3. It rewrites the story for your business profile (name, audience, brand voice, product, visual style) plus any instructions you add.
  4. It makes a new background per slide with the image model you pick, or uses your own photos from the media library. Library images cost 0 credits.
  5. It composites text and image into PNGs, usually in 1–3 minutes. In the slide editor you can change text, font, color, stroke, shadow and position, or regenerate one slide.
  6. You download and post. Credit the creator whose post inspired you, and never repost their images or words as your own. TokCloner’s output uses new text and new images by design.

For a niche like a meal-prep app, a source post that opens “5 mistakes that ruin your gym progress” might come back as “5 meal-prep mistakes that waste your Sunday,” with the same list rhythm and a final slide pointing to your app.

The units differ, so compare with care. ReelFarm counts slideshows. TokCloner counts credits: a clone costs 3 credits plus 1–21+ credits per generated background, depending on model and quality.

A 7-slide clone that uses your own library photos costs 3 credits. The same clone with the cheapest generated backgrounds costs 10. Failed steps are refunded.

What does each post cost?

Dividing plan price by allowance gives a rough cost per post, assuming you use the full allowance:

PlanAllowanceRough cost per post
ReelFarm Growth, $49100 slideshowsAbout $0.49
ReelFarm Scale, $95250 slideshowsAbout $0.38
ReelFarm Enterprise, $195750 slideshowsAbout $0.26
TokCloner Starter, $29400 creditsAbout $0.22 for a 3-credit clone on your own photos; about $0.73 for a 10-credit clone

TokCloner’s cost climbs with image quality. At up to 21+ credits per generated background, a 7-slide clone on the most expensive settings can reach 150 credits or more, so match the model to the post.

The bigger difference is what the price covers. ReelFarm’s includes generation, scheduling and posting. TokCloner’s covers the rebuild only, and you spend your own time uploading.

Output and limits

ReelFarm renders slides at 4:5 by default, per its API docs, with 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 available. Its changelog shows slideshow video generation was re-enabled in March 2026. It publishes to TikTok only. Its API allows 20 requests per minute and three slideshows generating at once.

TokCloner exports PNGs at 1080×1920 (9:16) only, which fits TikTok photo mode. If you post the same slides to Instagram, check how they display with our Instagram carousel size guide. It accepts image posts only, so video links and Reels are rejected.

Who should pick which

Pick ReelFarm if

  • You want TikTok slideshows made and posted every day with little hands-on work.
  • You run several faceless accounts and want them in one dashboard with analytics.
  • You want 4:5 or square slides, or an API that also publishes.

Pick TokCloner if

  • You saw a slideshow that performed in your niche and want that structure for your product.
  • You want the copy written from your business profile, not from a generic hook list.
  • You want your own product photos used at no credit cost, and you want to check each slide before it goes live.
  • You work in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and want to clone posts through the MCP server. See integrations.

If you run a faceless page, see our faceless pages use case. For more tools, see the best TikTok slideshow generators.

Can you use both?

Yes, because they cover different steps. ReelFarm keeps a steady stream of list-style posts going on TikTok. TokCloner rebuilds the specific posts you want to model, one at a time, for the brand you are promoting.

A simple split: let ReelFarm handle daily volume, and when you spot a slideshow in your niche that clearly outperforms, rebuild its structure in TokCloner and post that one yourself. Keep in mind that TokCloner adds a second subscription and does not post, so you still upload its slides by hand.
